The Taimine Theater is a touring theater founded in 2002. The repertoire consists of topics aimed at children, teenagers and young adults. The theater consists of professional practitioners that tour in schools and other venues around Finland. To date, The Taimine Theater has performed for over 260 000 spectators in Finland and other Nordic countries. The Taimine Theater is a member of the theater organization Assitej. ASSITEJ is an international childrens and youth theatre organization consisting of members from 80 countries worldwide. Assitej would remind us of children and young people's right to a safe upbringing and culture.

Theater Taimine make plays utilising a direct appeal to the audience with a focus on storytelling, with props, sound and lighting effects kept at a minimum. Theater Taimine find it important to produce contemporary drama for children living in Finnish and Nordic circumstances. We want to protect the child's perspective in an increasingly demanding and complex world.
